GEMS (Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior) Girls’ Club is a unique and exciting program designed to foster spiritual growth in all areas of a girl’s life. GEMS is non-denominational and open to all girls, grades 1 through 8. We meet on the 2nd & 4th Wednesdays of each month at 6:30pm.
Girls participating in GEMS are organized into smaller groups with one leader or counselor. In the smaller groups faith is nurtured and developed, and long lasting friendships are made.
Girls learn how to apply Bible lessons to their own lives and discover answers to many challenges facing them today. We learn about Jesus through friendship, songs, games, and crafts. Girls can earn badges and participate in community service projects.
Our 2009-2010 theme is "Prayer, No Worries!".
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." Philippians 4:6.
God desires to communicate with all His children. He wants us to listen to Him and to talk to Him-to bring all of our requests, and petitions, and thanksgiving directly to Him. He promises to listen, to hear and to answer. Additionally, He promises to provide us with His peace-to guard our hearts and minds with peace-if we obey and bring our requests to Him.
This year we will continue to support our sister club in Lusaka, Zambia, Africa. We have been encouraged by the letters we have received from the girls and counselors in Zambia.
