Christ Community Church of Plainfield is searching for a man of prayer, vision, passion, humility, and dependence on God to fill the critical role of Lead Pastor.

The Lead Pastor is responsible for providing spiritual leadership, promoting spiritual growth, conducting worship services, and proclaiming God’s Word to the congregation and community.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Providing oversight, supervision, and mentoring/coaching to Christ Community’s staff to ensure that they are maturing in their faith, growing in their relationships with each other and developing their skills.

• Raising up and encouraging God’s people into leadership of His church, while equipping, empowering and supporting them in their God-given ministry and gifts.

• Working with the Council (elders and deacons) to assure that Christ Community’s ministries will be organized, efficient, and effective for God’s glory.

• Discipling and teaching the elders and deacons to help them fulfill their roles as the spiritual and service leaders of the congregation to the best of their abilities.

The Lead Pastor is expected to encourage unity and teamwork within the body of Christ and to support and promote Christ Community Church’s mission, vision, and long-term goals for its ministry, discipleship, outreach, and evangelism.

Candidates must give evidence of a sincere commitment to Christ, be committed to the Reformed tradition, and either be an ordained pastor or be eligible and willing to obtain ordination.
