Christ Community Church of Plainfield was formed in 1983 by five families wanting to establish a community friendly church. They met in Naperville, Illinois, and were called Christ Community Church of Naperville. In 1985 CCC became part of the Christian Reformed Church.
Growth was a deciding factor for the 1988 move to Gregory Middle School, near 95th Street and Plainfield Road. For 15 years the church utilized the cafeteria and gymnasium spaces. In the mid-1990s, the church sold land in Naperville and purchased land in Plainfield, where housing was booming. In 1998, CCCN moved to Heritage Grove Middle School and the name was changed to Christ Community Church of Plainfield.
Construction of the Worship and Ministry Center began at 12410 Van Dyke Road. The first worship service was held in the sanctuary November 9, 2003. Today we are a growing and vibrant Christian Reformed Church, offering a contemporary worship experience with Biblical principles applied to today's life.
CCC is dedicated to helping people discover a meaningful community and a place to connect while taking steps in a maturing relationship with Jesus Christ. No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, you will find a warm accepting atmosphere where you can connect with God and others.
